Axl Landa is an artist that specializes in a refined musical style that evolves every year. Born in Lima (Peru), his passion for music took hold at an early age and started with a vehement collecting of all kinds of musical pieces. This is what set the foundation for his greatest passion, mixing and production of electronic music.

With the years he continued to polish his tastes and define his musical personality, always with an inclination towards melody and harmony. While he defines himself as a progressive house artist, he wanders across the spectrum of its organic and melodic variations and doesn’t shy away from the blunter sounds of techno.

In 2011 he took his first steps in the renowned DJ College Academy in Peru and earned recognition from Pioneer as he graduated. He embarked in the industry by organizing and promoting events, eventually relocating to Barcelona and delving into production.

His commitment to music led him to collaborate with Progressive en España and to co-found Progressive & Melodic Techno Peru, which promotes the genre and its many sub-genres and produces a podcast that gives space to artists in his country. The podcast also brings the wonders of progressive music from around the world to Peru, and is incubating a new label, Hypnotic Movement.

We are very excited to welcome Axl Landa to Ottawa Prog Vibes, his first Canadian appearance, in which he gifts us a powerful hour of musical storytelling.
