This week we are thrilled to bring back one of the many names that the Peruvian scene brings to the world of electronic music. Tokumori (DJ and producer) presents a musical style ranging from the sensual and hypnotic to techno with a deep and melodic texture, as a magical and musical emotion of sounds.

He started mixing at the age of 20, when he entered the Peruvian electronic music school called OHM SCHOOL to specialize as a DJ and producer in 2005.

His first release as a producer was in 2006, followed with a second in 2009 under the Light Record label of Peru. In 2011 he released a record with South African label Kanzen Records. In 2019 Tokumori released 2 EP’s: Moon and Mesopotamia (Mystic Carousel) and Augurio (Estribo Records), plus two remixes with Estribo (both being Proton sub-labels).

In 2021 Tokumori studied at the Sudbeat Bootcamp organized by Aulart and Sudbeat with Hernan Cattaneo, Folgar, Oliverio Sofia, Graziano Raffa, Kevin Di Serna and Ezequiel Arias.

We first hosted Tokumori on OPV three years ago and he’s been killing it in his hometown of Lima, playing shows alongside some of South America’s giants including Ezequiel Arias, Mariano Mellino, Kamilo Sanclemente, Antrim and John Cosani. Thrilled to have him back to tantalize us with an exclusive mix.
