We are excited to welcome Beach Radio’s Murder By Sound, a British legend who’s been around the UK club scene for a long time and has perfected a progressive sound that reflects a level of quality which only comes with extensive experience playing for one of the world’s most discriminating scenes.
Murder By Sound has been into DJ'ing since around 1990. It all started back in the early raves, just hanging about the DJ booth getting to know the residents. Whizz, Chill & Rosyth Institute, the local venues, were booming and before long he found himself on the 1210's learning and still learning to this day.
He gradually progressed into bars and clubs through the years (such as Fenders, Bar Brio, Confusion & SWG3) and now finds himself as a resident on Beach-Radio weekly every Saturday & Monday night. You'll hear him play a variety of melodic house & techno and progressive house vibes most shows.

This week's submission comes to us from Ottawa-based Nikita LA.
Born in the year of Ox by the Black Dragon River, Nikita came to witness the dissolution of his country. Escaping that reality, his favourite hobbies quickly became reading sci-fi books and listening to post soviet underground rock bands that were popularizing this style as a protest asking for political changes.
Many miles and light years later Nikita became interested in playing electronic music influenced by plus 8 label's releases.
That passion had vanished into the abyss long before being resurrected by the Canadian alliance "Bad Boys" that includes many DJs currently residing in Ottawa and Montreal. The Canadian capital is where you can find Nikita working as a scientist and spinning progressive, tech house and techno in his free time. Nikita's sets are crafted stories and whether it is Tolstoy, the Brothers Grimm, or Hemingway, it's for you to feel and decide.

Nikoli is about sound and motion, movement and frequency. Creating sets and soundscapes that match the mood and tone of the environment Nikoli plays many diverse style and genres and is not limited to one sound. He's happiest when the dance floor is moving and mutating towards a higher awareness. He has appeared throughout Ontario and Quebec playing show stopping sets at events such as Orion, OPEN MIND Festival, ECLIPSE, Heal Your Mind Festival, OM Gathering, and more.
Nikoli is also a co-founder and co-creator with the Music.Art.Ppl collective. He and the MAP team have been working diligently the past few years orchestrating events in the Ottawa area which spotlight talented musicians and artists.

Jacob Waxman is a Melbourne, Australia-based Canadian producer, DJ, composer, and mixer who crafts rich and vibrant, forward-thinking dance and ambient music under the moniker Waxman. He also works as a composer focusing on atmospheric and ethereal scores for TV, commercials, and film.
With recent releases on Pure Progressive, Maldesoule, Where The Heart Is Records, ICONYC, Magnitude Recordings, and plenty more on the horizon, he’s carving out a niche for himself amongst the up-and-comers in the progressive and melodic house scenes of Australia and the world.

Julie Petrecca was born in 1981 in Montréal. She was introduced to music in her childhood, as she basically grew up in the recording studio owned by her father, who transmitted his passion and interest for the world of music to his daughter.
In her late teens, she discovered electronic music and her passion for music grew even more. Through those years of musical culture and the well-kept connection to this particular universe, Julie's taste developed in several categories of electronic music from underground deep house, funky house, jackin, electronica, organic house, progressive house, melodic house & techno, techno, hard techno, tech house and atmospheric DnB ... nevertheless Julie prefers the underground sounds ;)
From February 2015, Julie has hosted her own weekly show ‘’The So What! Radioshow’’ presenting DJs and DJ/producers from all around the world. She’s also involved in her family radio, “Radio Webphré”.
