Deep Devotions consists by longtime friends Agusta, Spetz and Wennström. Origin from the middle and northern parts of Sweden they were blown away by the electronic sounds of Depeche Mode, Kraftwerk, Front 242 and Nitzerbb in the late 80s and early 90s. Following the evolution of the scene and industry ever since, they all went in to deejaying in the 90s playing gigs all over the place.
Going further, organizing clubs which led them to share stages with legends such as Eric Prydz, Axwell and Stonebridge just to name a few. Deep Devotions started off as a way to share new music between them but developed in to also sharing the sets publicly. Today they are steady picking up a broader audience with their signature sound.

That’s how Sam describes himself as a DJ. Never afraid to go too deep, his emotive musical selections are his own therapy.  Having grown up on his parents' beautiful combination of funk and Disco music (James Brown, Donna Summer), Rock'n'roll (Led Zeppelin, Ramones), Flamenco (Gipsy Kings, Camarón de la Isla) … All of which became infused with his own love for house and techno music, Chef ended up with quite a mixed spectrum of musical influence. Today, this translates into sets where he picks apart and infuses together all the pieces of the music that he loves best.
An active member of his musical community, he loves playing in nightclubs, festivals, patios, pop-ups and special events. His love for music goes beyond the spectrum of mixing tunes. He has found plenty of ways to express himself musically. He also likes to organize private and public events in parks, beaches and islands, just to name a few. He has dedicated himself to helping others become better DJs through his passion for music while giving tips to others and sharing their music along the way.

A raver and dancer since the early 90's, Thunder Bitch was always an acolyte of the underground and it's delicious sounds. When the pandemic hit and the music stopped they formed the Pandemica Kollective with life partner Zena to give people an outlet for mental health hosting safe physically distanced outdoor events.
In December of 2020 Thunder Bitch crossed over from the dancefloor to behind the decks creating a unique style playing techno, house, disco and progressive with hypnotic thunderous rolling basslines that inspire dancing.
Quickly finding success Thunder Bitch found a residency with The Kollective, Sashay and is a regular guest DJ with the Techno Cats and regularly can be found in the underground of Montreal, Ottawa and Toronto with an upcoming appearance at Canada's largest festival, Pride Toronto.

Alex Delmar is an underground DJ from Montreal, mixing House and Techno since 2007. He started DJing at bars and private events in downtown Montreal (Twins, Istori, L’Ambroisie) for about 7 years.
In 2014, he completed the Audio Production program at the specialized school Musitechnic. As professional practice he recorded and mastered live DJ sets at Piknic Electronic and Igloofest as well as co-producing Deep House tracks under FeelGood Productions.
He headlined electronic music events at a variety of venues in Guatemala and Costa Rica between 2015 and 2019, and held a few residencies (Rustic Bar, Maya Lounge, Tropicana Hostel - Sunset Sessions, 1001 Noches).
In 2018 he became a founding member of Underground Kollektiv, an international collective of DJs based in the UK who produce live events and label releases and host an online radio station. He is looking forward to returning to production under UDGK Records and performing at the upcoming Amsterdam Dance Event 2022 in October with the collective.

Our OPV guest this week embodies the spirit of our series. An artist who deserves to be discovered, MASE is a sound engineer who has been dj’ing for a decade and producing for the last four years. His set captures the delicacy and savvy of Argentine progressive as you let it unfold.
MASE has been playing clubs and parties, and has a regular weekly slot on Mixing Radio on Saturdays. His productions are in Deep and Progressive House and he draws inspiration from Guy J and Guy Mantzur.
Enjoy this one, it’s a gem.

This week we have the pleasure of welcoming Paris-based artist Aymar aka The Real Carter to the show.
The electronic scene in France has long been one of Europe’s most dynamic. From its beginnings in the 1970’s with pioneers like Jean-Michel Jarre, that country has spawned some of the biggest names including Daft Punk, Laurent Garnier and more recently Betical, Raphael Cerato and Teho. France also has its share of great festivals and events, such as the Cercle Music Festival that just took place last weekend.
The Real Carter evolves between Ethno and Progressive House. He started his electronic music journey just before Covid and has now signed on multiple labels such as Hungarian entity Dynamica Label.
Part of the Orchessons music crew in Paris, he constantly tries to improve his perception of electronic music. He also believes that building a unique and personal style is mandatory nowadays. Thus, he spends most of his time crafting atmosphere in his studio and as this activity requires time and commitment, he rarely posts sets online.
This episode for Ottawa Prog Vibes is special for him as he includes one of his unreleased pieces produced with his duo LK as Astral Frames.
