We start the second hundred of our series with a huge treat: we are thrilled to bring you the highly respected and incredibly talented duo Nosh & SJ from Mumbai.
Creating a distinct sound and then communicating it successfully to an audience is a rare artistry, something that Nosh & SJ have perfected beautifully. Both of these exceptional individuals bring their unique skills and versatility to the table, yet they are in complete sync with one another, because of their shared love for music. By perfectly balancing the melody, harmony, rhythm, tone, tempo and dynamics, they are expressing that which cannot be said, a universal language for the soul.
Nosh & Sj as a collaborative act have penetrated Mumbai’s hip and trendy watering holes and brought their charisma and musicality to entertain throngs of people across the city’s most frequented joints. The fervour and enthusiasm with which they perform, coupled with their upbeat progressive sets literally and metaphorically ‘set the stage on fire’. They have held residencies at dozens of clubs and played some of the biggest festivals in India.

Sincere thanks to everyone who has listened from the early days two years ago to today! I set out to produce this show out of a genuine love for intelligent, melodic and layered electronic music and progressive mixing. And, as it grew, I wanted it to also help cement our city’s place on the global map of progressive house.
What started small is now a known and growing recognized reference well beyond Ottawa and Canada, with listeners and guest DJs from around the world. The show is now syndicated to radio (thank you @quantumradiofm!) with more partnerships to come.
I could not be more grateful for the support, the ears and the interest. I am humbled by all the kind words of support I’ve received week in and week out. And I want to thank the producers who make and share their music with me and with the world, and all those who have been or will be guest DJs on the show. It’s an honour to play and soak up your sounds.

This week we go back to Spain for our next guest mix and welcome Barcelona’s @dj-manuelgarrido for a torrid set of pure progressive bliss.
From a young age Manuel followed pop and rock bands such as The Cult, The Cure, Pink Floyd, Depeche Mode, among others. Later, with the rise of Belgian band Front 242, he dove into the most electronic and avant-garde music of the moment. Around that time he opened ACTV MODA BARCELONA, the most avant-garde store in Barcelona both for its music and its fashion, making it an indispensable point of reference in the musical culture of the city at the time.
For a decade Manuel promoted electronic music culture. He was the director of three of the best clubs of the time in the Barcelona area, an event organizer and main provider of merchandising for the best nightclubs in Spain. In his career as a DJ he was invited by clubs and private parties, mostly in Barcelona, Madrid, Valencia and Ibiza.
He currently has his weekly residence on Radio Miami Color (Florida, USA) every Saturday. And he's started to produce a very particular Progressive style.
Manuel is a founder and administrator of Progressive Barcelona, a group created to connect and support DJs and Producers in that city and offering a platform to connect with new audiences.

Hailing from Ottawa, Canada, Rick Laplante's involvement in the party scene began in London, ON in early 1992 as a partner of Prism Productions, a project committed to hosting intimate gatherings with good vibes and fresh music. Unable to resist the siren song of the turntables for long, Rick began basement DJing later in 1992, with his first professional gig the following year.
His main musical influences came through London's proximity to Detroit and Toronto, where frequent weekend visits to these cities exposed him to some of the most groundbreaking underground sounds heard in the world during the early 90's. Rick has now been professionally DJing for over 28 years.
Rick's preferred club style is anything that can be described as groovy and/or bouncy tech-house, yet he also draws influence from his eclectic music collection - with flashes of myriad genres, ranging from techno to disco, breaks to jazz and from latin to lounge. He hasn't forgotten his musical roots from running the Detroit-Toronto corridor for years, either. You can always expect the unexpected while Rick blends several different auditory flavours into his Dj sets.
Rick remains very active in the local scene of our Nation's Capital.  He promoted a weekly afterhours event at Mavericks called Sunrise Afterhours for its run of over 5 years.  Pre-pandemic, his current promotions company "Framework Music" of 10 years, hosted Sunday Sessions, a long weekend Sunday dance party at Ottawa's legendary Mercury Lounge, and the infamous White Rabbit parties, Ottawa's only legal and licensed all night dance event at City At Night.  Framework Music has many plans in store for Ottawa once we are reunited on the dancefloor.
As well as promoting events, Rick has performed many out of town gigs, from Montreal to Toronto, from Boston to New York City and across north eastern North America. Rick now has his sights firmly set beyond Ottawa's city limits by starting to delve into production work, with aspirations of launching his own label in coming years.
